Here is Sue’s Story …

A woman who we will call Sue was looking for pain relief. She had unfortunately been diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. Sue was undergoing her Chemotherapy and Radiation therapies. She was optimistic with the results that her treatments were bringing her, but found the pain almost unbearable.

However, while undergoing these therapies, Sue was anxious. She experienced a lot of severe and deeply uncomfortable pain.

Sue had heard about Reiki and found her way to The Healing House.
She felt immediate relief from her pain during her first Reiki Master Healing Appointment with Gill. She also felt a calmness that she hadn’t felt for a long time.
Sue was so relieved that she came along for a Reiki Master Healing each time she was due to have the treatments that were arranged by her Oncologist.

Despite their initial skepticism her family noticed the wonderful way that Sue was responding to Reiki. They continued to support her to continue to have Reiki in her life.
Sue attended a Reiki One Workshop with Gill and was then able to offer herself Reiki Healing each day. She continued to come along for her personal Reiki Master Healing Appointments with Gill.

Unfortunately Sue’s Ovarian Cancer did progress. She arranged for Gill to come to see her regularly while in Palliative Care. Reiki continued to support Sue with added pain relief and inner peace.
At Sue’s request her family asked Gill to come to the hospital when she was in the final stages of her life.
On one visit Sue was unconscious and was holding onto life by a thread.
Gill sat with Sue and offered her Reiki. During the healing she placed her hand on Gill’s hand … gave it a gentle squeeze of gratitude.
Sue sadly passed away a few days later.
